Replace your spark plugs, wires, cap/rotar and Turn the Idle Mixture screw a tad counter-clockwise and I bet this will fix your problem.

Glad to shed that albatross. It was the O2 sensor. Other replaced/fixed items: new plugs and cleaned distributor contacts. Interesting to note the steep threshold for O2 failures. IE last year's test was fine @ 0% CO; this year a huge jump to 4.5%. In this case, maybe it was fine until 2 of 3 inlet ports became clogged.
Lotsa deposits!

He didn't think it indicated glycol, although we didn't specifically test. EDIT: FWIW this car uses primarily Esso XD-3 0W30 and Chevron gas.
