Will drought in Europe cause a major economic slowdown with barges only 1/4 loaded due to low water level ?

Shipping costs have spiked and no rain in the forecast, more bad news to deal with.

The big bump in coal is because of Germany's retirement of 3 nukes at the beginning of this year (which can still be undone). And yes, we've had similar issues with a bad freshet here in Ontario where hydro output tanked for the year and the difference was made up with gas. While hydro is a great resource, it is not immune to weather-related issues. The Hoover dam is also presently looking like it may have some serious issues as Lake Mead continues to drop.

the problem is widespread and it is everywhere and it has been going on issue as long as I can remember

there is a saying for a reason: future wars will be fought over water instead of oil or a specific area

Sounds like France is having trouble cooling their Nuclear reactors due to low and warm water temps in the rivers used to cool them. That and environmental laws that limit the discharge temps from those reactors.

trees are shedding their leaves due to drought now, if it's wet weather this happens end of september

It's a combination of years of deferred maintenance (because they had an anti-nuclear government prior to Macron whose plan was to phase-out nuclear) that has now required that a pile of units that should be available, are offline, because of plumbing issues with pipes for fire suppression and other safety systems (not nuclear cooling systems). So that, combined with the units that ARE operating, having to derate to reduce discharge temperatures, has created a bit of a quagmire.

This is France and Germany right now, you can see how much capacity is offline for maintenance, it's significant, but they are still doing a lot better than Germany in terms of emissions intensity:

Here is what France should look more like, this is us here in Ontario (while Pickering is still operating, and at full capacity):

Only because the government there is pushing a foolish energy agenda. As Overkill mentioned, they took 3 nuclear plants offline. Many of these countries are creating their own nightmares, by becoming their own worst enemies. We're no exception.
Germany is the biggest bunch of virtue signaling hypocrites! They refuse to tap into their own significant natural gas reserves (anti - fracking hysteria) but are happy to use fracked natural gas imported from the USA. They display religious crusade levels of hostility towards nuclear power but are happy to import electricity from next door France which generates about 70% of it's electricity via nuclear power.

That is nature, climate change for sure but nothing man made and nothing man can do about it. The next time one these screw balls starts spouting off ask them about the enormous amount of global warming it took to melt all the ice from the last ice age, that usually gets them stammering.

Although it's still a few hundred million to a billion years in the future, the Earth will actually suffer a catastrophic collapse in atmospheric CO2 levels, and all life on Earth (except for anaerobic bacteria) will go extinct!

CO2 levels collapse, photosynthesis ceases, O2 production ceases = all aerobic life EXTINCT!

OUT OF BREATH All humans and animals ‘will die out on Earth in a billion years’ due to ‘mass suffocation’ as oxygen levels collapse

I will worry about that when it is about to happen.
