Was in my grandfather’s shop for a while today and snagged these pics. He probably has a few thousand more that aren’t hung. Maybe they’ll go up in my building some day.
I believe there is a separate "Personalized Plates" thread(s) here somewhere, so this one is for collections, or really anything plate related. Is the purpose of this thread to post pictures of our collections, or post our personalized plates?

Some new arrivals came in the mail today. All from the Sunshine State. One Purple Heart Combat Wounded Veteran Plate and two Choose Life license plates. All very nice and will go great in the collection. Received many plates from this person already all of which have been nice plates.

Mail call today from my fellow collector friend and ALPCA member Andrew. Thank you for the plates again. Dealt with him several times and met him at my work once too. Great guy. Helped me complete my 50 state run.
First plate up is a Mississippi National Guard US Armed Forces Retired plate.
Next Mississippi National Guard plate with a message on the back about being donated from the state DMV. Probably something most states DMV wouldn’t do so that makes me like Mississippi even more.
After that a standard set of Virginia plates VYS-2700 on the March 2014- present base of Virginia is for Lovers which I absolutely hate that saying but it is what it is lol.
Next my first set of the yellow Virginia antique plates. Must have been on a 1991 Mercedes Benz. Look gently used and probably not used for that long. You can’t type in antique plate numbers on the system to find out what car they were on. I’ve never had luck trying to find the antique plate numbers. Not even the ones on the Beetle show up.
Next the pair that helped me reach all 50 states arguably the hardest state to get because they come after you if you don’t return plates or at least that used to be the case. Rhode Island. I like pairs as I believe if a state has two plates then I need both for my collection. I don’t have a problem with singles but the pairs are great. Little rough shape but he gave me a good price on them for them being Rhode Island. They just switched over to flat plates at the beginning of this year which is disappointing.
Next a pair of Virginia plate when they first started the X series as they go backwards for most series. XYH-3180. Not sure on the vehicle these could have been on either you can only track it back to three years. I like this base much better than the Virginia is for Lovers one.
Next another standard issue set YCJ-7457. I only had two sets of the Y series and one set of the X series plates so I wanted another pair of each and only had a few other sets of the V series. Still need another U series and still have to find a T series one.
Then a Kentucky Choose Life plate. Trying to get a Choose Life plate from all the states that offer them.
Thanks again Andrew you are a great guy to deal with. We are from the same state too. I also ordered a sample yellow antique motorcycle plate with my ALPCA number on it from the DMV so we will see when that gets here. ALPCA 14121 for those wondering. Bet we don’t have any other ALPCA members here on BITOG.
I love the Choose Life plates too. The ones for reasonable prices I’ve been picking up. Hopefully I can get one from all states that offer them. Something very important to me.Love that Kentucky “choose life” plate
