Could you confirm that the seam where the filter media is glued together is secure? The ends appear to be separating, especially at the top edge, in your picture.

Who makes this filter? I bougth Mann-filters for the CRX and they are obviously supplied to Mann by another manufacturer (made in south africa). The centertube holes and spiral look exactly like the ones in the photo.

Wow ... yes, it is tiny for a 3.5L V6 engine IMO. Looks like something that should be on a 10 HP lawnmower engine.

Can you measure the media area? I use the PL14610 on my 2004 Altima with the 3.5L V6. The PL14610 has ~105 sq-in of media area.

Dang ... I don't think I'd use that for more than a 5,000 OCI even if the engine was clean. Thanks for the measurements.

I'm curious as to particle counts after UOAs done between this filter and the one ZeeOSix uses with so much more sq" of media.

Those are the same filters on my 2009 Subaru Forester. I believe its the same filters that fit all the 2.5l EJ engines turbo and NA. I have been using supertech for ever and never had a problem even though i like other filter brand choices better. They are super tiny filter for sure. I like how the camera makes them look bigger than they really are.

I opened one of those before using it a couple of years ago. The 6607 is just too small for my liking, and barely any media. I would go with the 7317 instead.

That is small - reminds me of the little ST filter I once used (1 oci) for the wife's 750 Honda Shadow she used to have. I then went to a long Pure One filter. Although I didn't have any problem with the ST except for some reason it didn't seem to set right in my mind at times, so I just couldn't use another of the same. But the stock Honda filter was a mini too.

Same here, they have replaced the ST filters with Purolators. However, they seem to be charging about the same price as they did for the ST filters.

This is actually the exact filter that my Polaris Scrambler 500 uses.

Champ Labs had a great line of filters before they changed most of them to E-Core. It was probably the best value for the buck. I still have a couple of WM filters in the basement that were sold before the change to E-Core and they were great for your economy oil changes. According to their advertising (and yes, I know advertisers can lie), it filtered better than the Fram OCOD filters, all at a much better price.
