Ended up flushing and changing the coolant earlier than I expected since the t fitting for my coolant filter broke (http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2669975&page=1). So I went ahead and put on a new filter while I was at it.
I honestly wasn't expecting to find anything since this filter has only been on for 7 months and a whopping 4,000 miles. This is form my 05 ram 1500 w/ 5.7L
Turned out I was in for a shocker.

No clue why the excess collected at the one point in the can. Maybe coolant flow/turbulence?
