If you do a complete flush, and fill with pre-mix, how are you going to get the water to coolant ratio correct? You can't get all the distilled water out of the system and so you will dilute the pre-mix with the remaining distilled water in the coolant system.
If you do a complete flush, you need to use a non pre-mixed coolant and using the coolant system capacity specs, you can get the correct ratio of water to coolant.
I agree with the drain and refill recommendation.....
