My truck, I would park on uneven ground, and that would give me enough access to get under it. Throw on a paper paint suit and go to town.
My cars, those would require jacking up. I would lift and set back down on wood cribbing. The first time is kinda important to try to get as much as possible; later applications IMO is not as critical, as it's really trying to get the areas that are high wash. A lot can be accessed with minimal lifting on respray.
A few times I've done touchups in the wheelwells during tire rotation time. Since it'll be on a jack I won't get under it, but I'll spray all around and get as much of the suspension as I could.
