1994 Honda Civic del Sol Si (D16Z6 SOHC VTEC engine, 125 hp). No engine modifications.
This was my first analysis on 10W-30 SuperSyn, since I forgot to collect the first fill. Interpretation by Terry Dyson is pending. About 0.25 qt of Mobil Drive Clean were added, unnecessarily and unbidden, by a mechanic.
Shortly thereafter, on the way to Vegas, my radiator cracked in the 110 F head, and at times the indicated water temperature was slightly elevated. Since there was a loss of coolant, there may have been air pockets that resulted in local hots spots as well.
The car also did 9 runs at a local autocross (slower than Lone Pine) and a heck of a lot of mountain driving. The engine turns 3,500-4,000 rpm on the freeway. Ambient temperatures have generally been high. I always run the car hard, but this interval was substantially worse than the previous ones.
I'm fairly happy with this report. The lead is actually getting down to a decent level despite the hard driving, and I think the silicon ppm is excellent with the paper filter, given that my girlfriend lives on a dirt road in the desert.
I'm kind of alarmed by the low TBN and look forward to Terry's comments.
The oil was drained when this sample was taken, and replaced with the same. I used a PureONE filter again with the new oil.

I was hard on the oil this interval. First, I drove in the Lone Pine Time Trials (pics from last year). It's an autocross that's about 2.2 miles long, and with speeds of almost 90 mph in my slow car. The car did 16 laps, and ambient temperatures were 95-100F.code:
Figures in parentheses are (ppm/10,000 miles).
