Employment of one of these allowed me to figure out which combo of USB source and cable charged my phone the fastest.

No surprise a 1 foot Anker USB cable beat out a 4 foot Samsung provided cable.
Some sources were unable to maintain 5+ volts at my Phones maximum 0.98 amp rate. They'd drop to 4.82v, from 5.18v quickly and amps would then drop to 0.78a.
Since volts times amps=watts, lower voltage and lower amperage equals much less wattage making it into the battery.
I now only use those USB sources when charging time is not a consideration, or the particular device cannot max out the USB source anyway.
I actually have not used the meter in quite some time as I have not needed to troubleshoot anything.
With voltage alone, one is blind, but knowing volts and amps, one can see what is going on. If the device counts watt hours or Amp hours, all the better.
