My son has a laptop and desktop using WindowsLiveMail on both computers. All ISP settings are identical on both machines. He has no problems sending email on the laptop, however, when sending an email from the desktop, it doesn't send until he exits the email program. Then a small window comes up in the middle of the screen that says "You have unsent mail in your OUTBOX - do you want to send now?" Then he has to click on 'yes' and the email is sent. This only happens on the desktop. This is a fairly new computer (purchased within the last year) and only recently set up for use. Anyone have any ideas??

Do you have the option "Send messages immediately checked"

When you say Windows Live Mail are you using a mail client on the PC or just using a browser (i.e Webmail, Hotmail or whatever MS is calling it this week).

Even if it is browser based access you should have access to an options/setup screen, to me it seems as though you dont have it configured to send immediatley
