Battery leaking acid from terminals

They're called "battery terminal spreader pliers".
I just use the handle of a spud wrench I "borrowed" from my dad years ago. Just tap the terminal down the tapered handle, opens them right up.

Be careful with old lead terminals, the arms will crack. Had an epoxy coated one on my old Ranger do that once, couldn't see it through the coating. Gave me fits for months until it finally broke off while getting gas on the way home from work. Luckily I was at a Walmart gas station, so just walked over and bought new terminals from Walmart and fixed in the parking lot.
