B&S 18hp. What is this part?

I adjusted the valves on my 18hp mower and the cap that fits between the rocker arm and the valve got lost. What is that part called? The parts manual isn't clear.

It's called a valve stem cap.

Its a hardened lash cap...protects the valve tip from mushrooming..is this on a vanguard or older I/C?..I have some parts engines I can rob one for ya...
