I thought you guys would like to see these. I have been carrying my new camera around, so I stop to shoot almost everything I see now for practice!!

Gotta love those DSLRs. Such a huge jump in image quality vs. a point and shoot.

Not sold on the newer Nikons (3000/5000), though.

Im useing a Nikon D5000.

Hey it's almost the same exact thing as the D90. . .

It works for what I do with it. It's by no means the best.

It works for what I do with it. It's by no means the best.


Nice! I'm interested in what setting you had the white balance on. I'm assuming you chose "vivid"? or did you make a custom WB?

Sadly, im not that good yet. I had the camera in P mode. The camera was basicly in Auto mode, but yes, I did change the picture control to vivid.

I've got my D90 set on vivid as well. Google "Ken Rockwell". He's got a great site that explains quite a bit about modern Nikons, as well as gives some great photography tips.
 
The image processing is always getting better. used to be you get a bright colored car and the camera would compensate and the sky wouldn't be blue anymore.
