Hello all! Long time bitoger here with a question. I recently purchased two Mobil 1 M1-206 oil filters for my daily driver 2007 Pontiac G6 3.5 off of walmart.com but shipped and sold by Advance Auto parts. They were running them for $6.15 each with free shipping so I ordered a couple. Well they were delivered by FedEx today but they are dated 10/28/2015 and 10/19/2015. Just checking to see if anyone else has experienced anything like this and if you all think they are fine to use. Thanks in advance!

Use with confidence unless you see rust on them.
Fill it with a little oil and tighten!
If they don't look rusty, they're probably ok, I'd take the older ones made by Champlabs anyday over the newer Purolator ones.
No rust but the boxes were dusty for sure
You can fill these almost all the way because of how vertical the filter hangs
If it was stored properly and not rusty, it should be fine. I've used 10+ year old oil filters before without issue. The AC Delco filter I just put on my Camaro is probably 5-7 years old, and the Denso on my Accord was purchased probably around 2015? I remember ordering some closeout filters from Rock Auto before that were fairly old and one or two of them had rust on the end plates, so I never used those.
