7.62X39 for Deer

I used to have a Russian SKS, laminated stock, blade bayonet. I really liked that gun and took several deer with it. It was Ideal for the woods I was hunting in. As stated earlier, good wherever a .30-.30 is good.
 
I like the SKS. It's a great utility rifle and yes I think it's fine for deer at less than 100 yards. The Winchester soft point ammo is considered the most accurate because Winchester uses .311 diameter bullets instead of .308 substitutes like other manufacturers.
