It is very interesting that good old Havoline dino 5W30 improved things slightly over the MC 5W20. It did shear down, but who cares if the numbers turn out this good? I have an older 5.4L Expy that I had switched over to MC 5W20 from Havoine 5W30. After seeing this UOA....I think I will switch back. I think it is difficult to be Havoline for UOAs and $/quart.

I am not sure if it was the air filter or MC --> Havoline ... Might go back to MC 5w-20 and see what I get.
 
Guys, I have never tried Havoline 5w30 in my piston slapper suburban but am thinking about doing it with a 3000 mi OCI any thoughts?
