Went by the Company's r&d lab a while back....your bell would get rung, rung hard, but you'd still have a bell and no spalling from the inner layer.

I worked in the R&D dept for years doing development on polyurethane transparent armor for vehicles. Sold the program to another company. The 2 layers don't look bonded together. Know any details you can share?

Can't share much about the specifics at this stage, but as you know the test process is amazing. The 'rifle', really a fixed breech w/ interchangeable chamber & barrel assemblies is fascinating, as are the fragment simulating projectiles, the analysis...
