As the title says. Yesterday while driving our 19 Honda Pilot 66K the temp went all the way to cold. Turned the heat on and the temp went back to normal. I did install a SVCM three years ago which plugs into the coolant temp sensor. I wonder if it’s becoming faulty. Anyone experience this? Thanks. No check engine light, fluids are normal.

In hotter climates S-VCM service life seems to be 3 years... I'd reach out to them directly. Some people had luck getting free replacements.
Awesome thank you.

they did respond. They want me to get the temp at ECT 1with my scanner when it happens. So far it happened once a week. So to get it when it happens is almost impossible.

99.9% it’s an s-vcm failure, happened to me exactly like that after a 105f day.

I replaced with vcm tuner ii and no problems in 3+ years

I gave them a little more detail without giving them actual numbers. They will send a new one out and all I have to do is pay shipping. Pretty awesome for a product that’s out of warranty but they stand behind their product. Even if it has to be replaced every 3 years a 100.00 and some change is nothing for piece of mind.

We get hot in north Texas. In the three years this is the first issue with it.
