You just get your fingers under the edge and pull it out. The clips are part of the trim panel and snap into slots in the dash. Obviously don't yank it out like Godzilla attacking Tokyo but it will take a decent tug to start it then just work around until it pops off. Do not try and pry it off with a screwdriver or anything as you will damage the dash and trim panel.
