Hello:
Was playing around in the garage, wasting time. I swapped wheel sets on my E46. I'm the original owner. It's never once been left a single night parked outside, nor has it every been driven in the rain or on a wet road. And I'm the only one to drive it, literally. I do 100% mechanical and cosmetic maintenance. That said, I do drive it and it gets out. It's got 91k miles on it! In other words, you're looking at 17 year old, 91k mile factory paint! The handwashed undercarriage is as clean as the body.
Anyway, I was bored so I swapped wheel sets, just because. Eventually they get switched back, just because.
One set is a "square" set of BBS CH wheels, 19x8.5, ET35. Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 235/35-19s.
Other set is a "staggered" set of BMW Style 225, 19x8 ET37 front, 19x9 ET39 rear. Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S 235/35-19 front, 245/35-19 rear.
I included three undercarriage shots from this past summer's hand wash! Yikes!!!
Anyway, I hope this gives you a moment's distraction. That's a good thing!
Cheers,
Scott
