I have a new 2012 VW Jetta SportWagen TDi that I plan on keeping for a while. This is my first diesel and im still learning about the quirks.

I'm hoping to thwart some of the HPFP (High Pressure Fuel Pump) failures that some owners have had by using a lubricity additive. I have easy access to B100 and plan on adding a quart of it and 4oz of PowerService Diesel Kleen to each fill up (assuming a 14.5 gallon tank, I expect to fill up at around the 2.5 gallon mark).

Any thoughts about this strategy? Any concerns?

Any help is much appreciated!

HPFP are built for todays fuel so I wouldn't worry about it. There is no empirical evidence showing large scale failures. Also when it comes to an additive make sure it contains NO sulphur. This is different from being "ULSD Compliant ". As you know ULSD is limited to 15 ppm. If an additive contains sulphur then you've exceeded the limit.

B5 has found to contain the maximum lubricity benefit.

Powerservice diesel kleen supposedly uses Teflon aka "slick diesel"
