1999 cgp-45 Clark Forklift Transmission Fluid

Hey everyone,

I have a older forklift that i need to change transmission oil in (in title). I have called 3 places and got 3 different answers. I have no manuals at all for it. The maintenance records from previous tech have 0 mention of ever even adding Trans Fluid. I've heard SAE 30 motor oil, SAE 30 trans oil, and SAE 10 trans oil. The previous maintenance guy (who is still around but retiring soon) has also given me 3-4 different types, (all completely different). I did find an old operators manual online that says Clark 30 SAE transmission fluid. Their is no red hue at all in the current oil. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I worked at a Clarkift dealer the trans oi lto use is tractor transmission hydraulic fluid UTF of a high quality brand name not 303 fluid.. if I remember correctly the Clark part number 2776236. I would use the tractor trans hydraulic fluid UTF. Those were / are nice forklifts. The gps model which was before the cpg used the 30 wt then went to the 2776236
