I have a 94 Dodge Dakota standard cab, the drivers door hinge pin? is broken, quickly went from good to lift up to close to wont close - I drive with hand keeping door nearly shut. (I dream about u-tube video going viral in CHINA "Stupid foreign devil falls out of Dakota, runs down street after truck screaming and cursing"). ANYWAY, I have a 2 pin kit and a spare 1 pin kit coming from RA- Dorman, may be here today or tomorrow.Am I understanding right that raising up open door slightly with a jack, then taking off plastic caps top and botton, removing e-clips, driving out pin with hammer, reversing process - is the procedure, assuming no ovaling out, weld breaks, etc? Am I looking at 30 minutes or so? And should I replace the bad unit then do the other one? I briefly talked to body shop and they weren't enthused but could try later (was driving different vehicle that day). Thanks!
