Interesting that NJ doesn't test for NOx emissions.

I wouldn't say it shows a cat that's working "quite well" but almost definitely working and doing all it needs to do with a little room to spare which is a good thing. It didn't burn up from all that time the truck ran before Techno set the ignition timing.

It is true that NJ no longer tests for NOx. That is not specific to this truck.

Uh oh, I see that you have the ever so famous 4L65E transmission. Cross your fingers that the sun shell doesn't explode one day and take out the whole unit.

I think whatever coolant drip is causing my operating temperature to be a little higher.

I may have my phone back in an hour so i can show everyone...

We don't really want to see more video of your dashboard, showing your temp gauge being a bit higher.

Why don't you just figure out where the source of the coolant is, and fix it?
Once you've fixed it, then you can show us pictures of the part(s) you replaced.

BC.

At some point, with a coolant leak, you will damage the engine. Low coolant means less coolant in the radiator to transfer heat to the ambient air and less coolant in the block to take heat from the engine. At very low coolant levels, parts of the engine will not be cooled. Those local hot spots will result in damage.

Knowing this, do you think you should immediately:

A) take more video
B) add more coolant
C) ignore it and keep driving

The ring around the plug maybe controlled by a separate circuit (usually the case so the dashboard dimmer pot has control).

Like others said, check the fuse or perhaps the power lead (popular wire to splice into for an aftermarket stereo install or other options)

Stupid question, is the outlet you are trying Constant 12V or Switched 12V (the car would need to be in Accessory or On)

Constant

Let's see if I got this right:

1. The Blazer has a transmission leak (which will, over time, cause transmission damage and leave you stranded)

2. The Blazer has a coolant leak (which will, over time, cause engine damage and leave you stranded)

3. You're focused on charging your phone.

That about got it?

It appears to have been the adaptor.. the port works.

2. Water pump is suspect. That, or timing chain cover. I lost Volvo #2 this way so I'm being extra keen.

3. Phone charges, can navigate me and taker pics and vids. Has service.

1. Possible leaking pan gasket; yes, has leak. Monitoring ATF level at this time

But a phone is by far the least of your worries. Before I got my GPS, I used these things called maps.

You can actually use the computer to find your way from A to B. Then either write down the directions, or print them out.

You can also charge your phone from a wall outlet at home.

Why do you repeat yourself? Is it just to get post count up?

Anyway, good luck repairing your problems.

Didn't you know that when you hit 30 posts/month you get a 15% discount on the monthly BITOG membership fee?

OK. Next Q: Why do I now have to hit my starter with the ratchet every time I want it to start? (This happened today.) -- What happens in the starter that hitting it "helps" it?

The brushes are worn down to nothing. Hitting it breaks the friction and allows them to move that last little bit. This will work a few times and then it will stop working entirely.
