Pull the block drains tomorrow before refilling it too, and maybe let clear water run in radiator and out block drains...

Alright cool. Seems reasonably priced, and should help the problem with the dirty coolant. I haven't had a chance to flush the coolant in the truck yet. Going to go let it run a while now to circulate the dishwasher liquid again.

I use the same coolant filters and bases. What a difference.

You definitely need to drain your lower block. You might be amazed.

One of the 454's in my SeaRay boat had a minor coolant leak. Come to find out, the block drains were missing. The only thing holding coolant in was the dirt in the bottom of the block. I had to use a screwdriver to bust through the hard garbage, and then all sorts of mess came out into my bilge.

Engine runs much better since getting that garbage out.

Yeah I got the block drains out. Took some digging with a screwdriver to get anything to come out of them. Especially the passenger side. Flushed a lot of water through, then filled 50/50 with coolant and distilled water. Now I need to install the shroud and fan when I get home from work. Should be good to go.
