Pretty sure when I was part of a discussion last, almost all Honda ATF says that. I think they're just giving people a pre-emptive heads up to avoid what Pennzoil has had happen at the bottom of some of their jugs. And idk if I'd call $10-15/qt ATF "inexpensive" when you can buy jugs of...

I mean, yeah, a person can do a d/f whenever they want. It's just that it's not like the old DW-1 days or the ZF trans.

It has the 10 speed, not the 9 speed ZF. Super frequent ATF changes are not needed on the 10 speed like they are on the 9 speed.

We had it happen once a few years ago. We ended up having a funnel cloud and rotation above the school about 10 mins after kids left but then it moved off.

It will of course depend on your driving style. If you drive like you're 90 and barely go above 2k rpm or 30mph, sure, it can make a difference. To most people actually driving places to get there with a purpose, it will be neglible at best.
