Is higher weight oil in this heat a good idea?

Ford E350. 5.4L. 191K. No leaks and not burning, none added between changes. This is a service work van. The cap says 5W-20W. Today I put in 10W-30W Mobil 1 synthetic high mileage. It's real hot here. It can get very cold in the winter, was using 5-20 then. What do you think?

Which is the better oil ?

This was really good advice. TY. "The act of preventative maintenance, in and of itself, is FAR MORE important than brand/grade/base choices among lubes and filters. - under maintaining something is akin to abuse/neglect; that can kill equipment by shortening the lifespan - over maintaining...

Which is the better oil ?

2011 Ford E350. 5.4L 180K miles. Does not burn oil and runs good. Fuel economy is not important. Longevity of engine is important. Any other suggestions outside of this special? Oil weight? https://www.autozone.com/landing/page.jsp?name=oil-change-specials TY

    Oil in cooling system

Once I did feel what I thought was air bubbles going through the return hose into the top of the radiator. Good idea about a junk yard motor

    Oil in cooling system

I wonder if that oil changing guy did something to the Oil filter adapter as explained above. I did catch saboteurs in the past doing other things to make a repair needed

    Oil in cooling system

I've had a slow leaking radiator for some time, been adding. After the last oil change, I opened to add, and saw what appears to be motor oil. Stuck my finger in and got black oilish on finger from inside wall of coolant tank. Then the cap on tank started blowing a few times. coolant was not...

Does Tundra breaks have the same problem as Ford?

When Ford loses break fluid for one wheel, all four wheels lose break. That has happened more than once on my 97 F-150. Another man said the same on his newer Ford. I did not have that problem on the one 1980's-ish GM I had. I was told the GM master cylinders keep rear and front separate, so...

High milage engine oiil weight recomendation.

2003 Ford E350 super duty. 331K miles. Been running NAPA Synthetic 5w-20 (weight noted on fill cap). I add about 6 quarts every 5K miles. What weight should I increase it to? Work truck, loaded with weight. It's been driven well, not abused, I bought it new. I want to stick with NAPA synthetic...

HVAC-Central furnace problem, burner not heating.

OK. I run my own biz, been doing Refirg, heat and A/c this since late 70's. What you are probably hearing is the LP burning inside of the burner tube venturi, instead of on top where it should be. The bang ba-woosh is delayed ignition, where gas builds up and ignites all at once, instead of a...

    2003 E350 cargo side door latch-handle

The outside handle/latch does not work anymore. The door mechanism works fine from the inside. I see a cable with a ball on it attached to the outside latch itself, at a fork connection of sorts. The cable does not pull tight to the fork, so when I pull on the handle I only catch air. Would a...
