WHICH Two-Cycle Oil to Use as an Automotive Add?

I am currently running the SuperTech TC-W3, and it is not as effective in my 1989 Mazda MX-6 GT as the Pennzoil was. Noticeably not as smooth running, and mpg difference is all but not there. I will go back to PZ on my next fill up.

    Auto-Rx in Acura tranny

I have run ARX in my Honda Odyssey 5-speed several times, with noticeable benefits. Some "whirring" noise went away - my guess is the fluid pump vanes were cleaned. Shifting is smooth. Recommended.

Honda Z1, Mercon V, Mobile 1 Universal ATF, LubeGuard Black

I may take it to the dealer - after the next trip (soon) where I can monitor lockup better and the highway mileage. (This is my wife's vehicle, I only drive it occasionally.) I'm starting to wonder if it is temperature related... I would not be surprised if the syn fluid runs cooler than Z1. I...

Amsoil ATF vs Specialty Formulations Autoglide ATF for 2003 Honda Accord

The '03 and '04 Odyssey 5-speed AT has a filter also. Though most Honda dealers do not think so, that filter is serviceable. I did it myself. Pain to get to it, not hard at all to do.

Honda Z1, Mercon V, Mobile 1 Universal ATF, LubeGuard Black

OK - I have changed the little filter, and done two more AutoGlide Z1 drain/fills. Should be mostly AGZ1 now. Still having the "light lockup" conditions. And, not too surprisingly, gas mileage is down a little. This is bringin' me down.

    Jiffy Lube mistake?

I know this is a old-post-resurrection, but I wanted to let BobXRC know that I just replaced that little filter on my '03 Odyssey trans. There are good instructions on Odyclub.com in the Periodic Maintenance section.

    More failures?

Honda transmissions do not have bands like most manufacturers. In fact, inside they look more like manual transmissions rather than automatics. Also, there is no good way to drain the torque converter either. The Honda protocol is 3-4 partial drain/fill cycles. Pathetic, IMHO. (Or is it...

Honda Z1, Mercon V, Mobile 1 Universal ATF, LubeGuard Black

Thanks for bringing this older thread up. I have put Mola's AutoGlide Z1 in our Odyssey trans, 2 partial drain/fill cycles so far. I have to say that it shifts quite smoothly, but I've noticed that it holds on to some gears longer than it did, and does not hold on to lockup as well. There is a...

Honda PS - is there a full synthetic?

Amendment - I just bought a bottle of NAPA-brand Honda-spec PS fluid. The back of the bottle says "petroleum oil." Guess it isn't semi-syn - at least the NAPA brand is not.

Honda PS - is there a full synthetic?

Quest - Great minds... I am in the baster-process after several hundred miles with ARX in our PS system. 3 drain/fills so far, and the fluid is just now starting to look clearer. Methinks the ARX has done some cleaning! This was the factory fill, 48K on the odometer and 3 years. I'm thinking...
