Gmorg - I am saying the I have read all the pro and con Lucas Propaganda and all I can say is that on a purely subjective note I have used this product a number of years in Cars, Trucks and large mowers and believe it has merit in certain situations (worn engines etc.) I also have never seen it...

I would beleive it has soot control. I know it has lower ash than Rotella 1.5 vs 1.2, which is better for bikes

yes I would also like to know I currently use rotella T 15w40 in a yam vstar 1100, but at $5.00 a gallon I would like to try the castrol tection.

I agree with the mechanic and RL Overlord. You are better off with a straight weight because of the WOT and loads. I usually run a straight 30 weight delo in my GM 2.4 four Starcraft and if performs great. Just change at end of season and your good to go. I think the 5w-30 is a great oil but...

Seldont - I run STP from AZ it is cheaper price and comes with the o-rings. I think champion may make it for yamaha because they look identical. I passed on the relo because I like an cleaner look and it's really not that hard to change the filter once you get it down pat.

I have been using Rotella T 15w40 for the past 6k in a V* 1100 and I think it shifts as good or better than Yamalube 20w40
