Redline Racing (Type F) ATF in a 2008 V6 Accord?

I had a mix of 4 quarts of Red Line Racing Type-F and 2 quarts of Lighteight Type-F in my Fit! It worked great!! It always felt like the stock oil was making my transmission slip like crazy but not with the Red line!! Shifts were firmer but not harsh at all and 50 000km later, the tranny is...

    Love my Lucas Oil Additives...

Something i have found on a Chrysler website a long time ago!! On oil pressure, experts recommend 7 to 10 psi of oil pressure for every 1000 rpm of engine usage. 7 psi + 6000 rpm = 42 psi 10 psi + 6000 rpm = 60 psi http://www.thedodgegarage.com if you wonder! Marko!

    Bardahl No Smoke

I've seen a lot of Subaru Engines making strange noise but just like others said, i would flush the stuff out and do any maintenance needed at your dealership! If anything explodes, they have the maintenance record so they cannot say you neglected the car... Trav, my dad had a 03 Sunfire... GM...

valvetrain pix of 95 honda accord 130k miles

This is my neon's valvetrain during an inspection i did after it suffered from oil starvation... Pretty clean for a car that was abused for 220 000km! Pretty sure here that the 6.5l Moroso oil pan helped a lot! :P A little insignificant wear on the lobes but it suffered from oil starvation...

    2007 Toyota Yaris Motomaster Formula1 5w-30 7969km

Higher speeds also kills MPG... My honda Fit absolutely hates to go over 90-100Km\h... I used to complain a lot about excessive fuel consumption at my dealer and they told me it hates to go fast on the highway, wich is true... If i run at a boring 90km\h on the highway i can do something like...

    Suspect Bad Engine Mount

Front motor mounts are always shot on a 1st gen Neon... that's why i use energy suspention motor mounts inserts... but i also doubt it's a bad motor mount at such a low milleage... especially if you're not giving you're civic a beating... Marko!!

    Fuels and MPG...

Well i allready knew Ethanol would decrease my milleage but i tried it too just to compare. As of the octane, would 92 make as much of a difference Vs. 91 in terms of Pre-Igniting my intake charge? Also, i absolutely don't know about fuel formulations but it's the only thing i think could make a...

Rislone made this engine quiet (video clip)

I agree too... that's kinda sounding like a really ---- of Volks diesel so you probably need mechanical repairs. And i also think it's sounding like lifters as it seems to be more of a ''pink pink'' than a ''klunk klunk'' like rod bearings do...

    Fuels and MPG...

Just like i said in another post i've tried various gaz brands around here and my cars always seemed to average between 75 to 100 more km on a tankful of Irving Premium... Do anybody knows why a perfectly tuned car can average between 75 to 100 more kms with a tankful of Brand X gaz and not with...

Took the 3.5L Honda-powered Vue to the dealer....

Not to mention it can cause your Cat to fail pretty bad... Escorts ZX2 really don't like Premium fuel at all as it burns more slowly then Regular and the VCT Cam sends Burning air\fuel mixture right thru the cat causing it to melt... (Personal experience...) As of the injector cleaner...

    Why does 89 exist?

My Mazda KLDE 2.5l V6 calls for 91 Octane... I've tried 87 and did something like 500-550km instead of the +-600 i get on tankful of Irving Premium witch has 92 Octane BTW! And since i adjusted my base timing from 10° to 13° BTDC, it increased to 650km... amazing!!

Information on Canadian Tire Gas & Additives

Fuel formulation change from summer to winter to provide better atomisation\freeze protection in winter then in summer... As of additives, i put half a bottle of Red Line Injector cleaner every 5000km no matter what brand of gaz i use, but so far, the best gaz i've used was Irving's Premium...

Thick vs thin gear oils/manual trannies.

Personally, the recommended oil for my Mazda 626 chronos is 75w90 GL4\5 oil... But the car is 13 years old, has 183k miles on the clock and so far, the best oil i've putted in her was my very own mix of 1.7l 75w90 GL4 Motul Gear 300 with 1l of AC Delco Synchromesh oil... shifts a lot smoother...

    5W-20 Increases Fuel Economy

Huummmmm i think Ford could have saved more fuel by using a more efficient oil like Amsoil 5w30 Vs. Average Joe 5w20.... Personally, i gained a couple of MPG with Amsoil and a lot more by doing a good tune-up...
