    Only called Dealers in Alaska that sell the Honda generators. Most said to put duct tape over the cooling air intake or sit generator in a box to hold heat in. Not something want to do and turn my back on .

    I did call the honda shop in Whitehorse they were the ones that gave me the part number for the heater. They were very helpful but the price was something around $160.00.

    Portable Generator choice

    I have had much trouble with my EU2000 freezing up the carb running at temps -5 and below. Talked to several dealers around this area said to cover air intake for cooling. Wish could come up heated carb for this model.

    Honda EU1000-EU2000

    Been using mine at the cabin probably have less than 100 hours total on one each one. Use Mobile 1 10w30 change every 30 hours or less just to easy not to. The only problem i have had is with the EU2000 the crank case vent freezes up the carb when it is run at below zero temps really a pain...

    I own both of these generators was just wondering if anybody know how many hours they can run before the engines are worn out. I see a lot of extended run fuel systems for them. People must be accumulating a lot of hours. Thanks for any insight.

    No. The cross just is 75w-90. The oil type in the traction drive is what i am trying to find. Thank you.

    Looking for a type of gear oil used in part of the traction drive in my Yamaha. The factory manual says to replace with ether Santrack #40 [Monsunt] or Mitsubishi TD22 [Simpo USA]. Would really like to change out this oil but cant find a replacement. Anyone?

    Yamaha snowblowers were the best and if you could find a good used one buy it. To bad they dont export their new ones. Look like incredible machines.

    Reading all posts today about Toshiba HIRs went out to local John Deer dealer bought a set. Very easy to modify and install.
