I was at Walmart the other day and I noticed that some of their EverStart Maxx batteries have something of a secret date code (i.e. K4, J6, etc) rather than the obvious numeric date code (i.e. 11/22, 1/23, etc). Any idea how to decipher the alpha-numeric codes?

What's the story with all the HDEO's being offered in 1 gal containers, while most of the other "car" oils are offered in 5 liter? I've got 3 different engines that I'll be using a HDEO in, and their re-fill capacities are 10 qt, 5 qt, and 2.5 qt. See my point????

I've used Rotella Syn 5W-40 in my Kodiak 450 for some time now. Seems to work just fine, but admitedly that's a rather nebulous statement without any hard data behind it. FWIW, some people think the CI-4+ spec is "better" than the new CJ-4, since there's less Zinc and Phosphorus in the CJ-4 oil...
