Change the oil and substitute a qt of mmo. Change the oil filter at 1k miles and drive for 2k miles. Repeat a few times. Then use a quality oil, syn blend or penz plat, and use a qt of mmo for 3500 miles. Do that a few times. 5 or 6 oil changes should determine if you can save it or scrap it.

I noticed i needed a quart of oil about 1800 miles into my last oil change with a quart of mmo in the crankcase. Im not sure if it evaporates or what, but i never needed to add a quart before. This didnt alarm me though, just an observation.

I used to have a "flat spot" at about 62 mph, truck would kinda loose power or whatever. MMO in the gas fixed it in about 5 tanks. Now MMO goes in every tank as along as i have some handy.

I am wondering if anyone goes the 10k miles with the proper usage of lube control? Also on their site it just says 10k oil changes, doesnt say what oil. Would anyone run motorcraft oil 10k miles? Or even the ST synthetic with LC 10k miles? If the answer yes, then isnt it more cost effective...
