I changed the oil today in my 08 Rabbit 2.5 and used Pentosin 5w40.

Amsoil European Formula 5W-40 hands down. It is an exceptional oil. Thats kinda what I was thinking. Has anyone used the motul specific vw 502 00 oil? Is it worth the price?

also what about motul?

I also have a VW rabbit with the 2.5. If you had to choose between GC or amsoil 5w40 euro which would it be?

I was looking at oil the other day and noticed that PP was about 2 bucks cheaper than M1. My question is if you had to choose either oil for a 6 month fill with around 3-4000 miles which would you choose?

I was kinda thinking since my truck takes 6 quarts I would get a 5 quart jug of havoline and a quart of mobil 1. Think thats good for 6 month intervals?

I dont really drive to much and was going to use Havoline and a Wix filter and change the oil every 3 months. But I only drive maybe 4-5000 miles a year and was wondering if I could use the filter twice before changing? Thanks for the help.

I bought my Z71 extended cab last june and it seems to run well. Im running M1 T&SUV in the summer and M1 5w30 in the winter.

Plan on doing my oil changes from now on but have a quick question. The Rhino ramps at walmart are the 8000 and 12000 but the 8000 only say 2000 per ramp my GVW on my truck is 5300 pounds so Im guessing I only need the 8000? Thanks for the help.

Does advance auto parts sell GC because they are having a sell this week.

Also I highly doubt this car has ever seen syn oil.
