That's exactly what I did.

While reinstalling my transmission pan, I tightened a bolt too much and stripped the pan (not the bolt itself). I reapplied more LocTite and put the bolt back in, just to have something there. So far there's no leak; maybe because this happened in a corner of the pan where the adjacent bolts are...

Is an oil's dispersant additive(s) what carries away the contaminants that ARX dislodges/dissolves? If so, then would it be better to use an oil (for the rinse phase) that has the most dispersant, or does this not matter? My fear is, if my Sienna has sludge, that I'll use an oil for the rinse...
