Usually it's the BELT that chirps, the tensioner will growl when the sealed bearing goes bad.
Inspect the pulleys... are the top of the ridges polished? they shouldn't be. If yes, change the belt.

Neither one... they both suck. Too generic, just an oil change guide. I call them "Cliff-Hangers" because just when you need a paice of hard technical information, they leave you hanging. Furthermore, their generality can be very dangerous by leading you with inaccurate information.

I've owned four IFS Gm's beginning in '88. Some off-roading, lot's of plowing, 300,000 miles, etc. NEVER needed an alignment (tires wear correctly, steers/tracks properly). Don't mistake tire wear caused by spirited driving with needing an alignment. And ALL service centers recommend alignment...
I did mine.... worked the balls. There is however a NTSB safety recall, (a small matter of not being able to see all of a sudden) search here: http://www.ntsb.gov/ I had done mine by the time it was issued.
Correct... I beleive the Cat spec is "minimum" 3%, and the super-duper-gold-$$$$ stuff there is 5%. They also have a lesser grade (prolly only $$, lol) available. And some cold weather specific, and desert specific.
