97 Camry around 231K. My stepdaughter is driving 98 Camry that I've cared for since new that's around 230K too. Both have the 4 cyl sludge prone 5S-FE engine. Both cars have gotten full syn (mostly M1) with around a 5K oci. Initially I thought that the OCI was overkill; now it seems about right for that engine.

Chevy S-10-278k, 02 VW TDI-168k, 2000 GMC sierra 3500-152k, 1998 Chevy Tahoe 240k. Original engine, and transmission in all vehicles, somehow, the transmission in the Tahoe rebuilt itself when I let it sit for a month in the driveway. It used to slip but it became good as new, very odd.

A 1986 Mazda 626 owned for 20 years. Ended up with 375,000 miles, with one head exchange, using 10W-30 at every 3000 miles. My second all time favorite car.

My 2003 GMC Sierra I bought new, now with 181,000 miles.

- 1st 63k AC Delco 5w-30 at dealer OCI every 3k.
- 63k to now with 181k has 90% of the time Amsoil ASL 5w-30 + EAO oil filter at ~7k OCI's.
- Runs & sounds terrific... oil always looks clean... just like new!! thumbsup

Currently 01 Mazda MPV 170K miles. Ran mostly PZ Yellow bottle and 5K intervals. Currently running Phillips 66 semi-syn and 7.5K mile intervals. Motorcraft filter.

03 Subaru, 152K miles when totaled. Mostly PZ yellow bottle and Purolator filters.

In the past owned two (91 and 94) Corollas that ran exclusively on PYB and Fram OCOD. Each ran 250K miles before being sold or taken out of service.

2002 Chevy Camaro Z28. 5.7L - 6-speed. 176K miles. M1 5w30 since new up to 150k, then RL 30-weights.

No plans to get rid of either.

Closest thing to high mileage I have right now is my wifes 96 explorer with 130,000miles on it. She bought it with 97,000 on it and i've used anything in it from quaker state to GC. Has Kendal Semi-Syn. in it right now with motorcraft filter.

My first car was a 71 Plymouth Scamp with the "leaning tower of power" that my mom had previously driven for 13years. It had 198,000miles on it when we got rid of it and still ran like a top, unfortunately the subframe was rusting through. My dad had always used PYB or VWB in it.

My fourth vehicle was a 95 Ford Escort LX with 67,000miles on it when I bought it. It was put to rest at 167,000miles when my ex totaled it. I used pretty much nothing but Valvoline Synpower and motorcraft filters in it for 7,000-7,500mile OCI's. Best car I ever owned, only took a timing belt and alternator the entire time I owned it.

Our 4 cylinder Wrangler has upwards of 160k on it. Broken in with dino, then Amsoil since. Have gone as much as 12k interval, but have settled back to 5k.

1998 S10 4.3L(W) just turned 150,000 miles in January. Has run Mobil 1 10W30 since 10,000 miles. Switched to M1 High Mileage 10W30 at 140,000 miles. Always used AC Delco UPF52 Ultraguard Gold oil filters. Oil and filter changed every 5,000 miles.

See the sig....

The SOHC 3.5L Mopar in the 300M has been one of my favorite all time motors. With 250hp/250lbft and 27mpg hwy, it is wonderfully balanced between power and efficiency while delivering a very nice power curve and responsiveness. Great car--a mistake going to the RWD C IMO (which gained 1000 lbs in the process). No issues in 177,000 miles. No leaks either. Same motor in the Intrepid ES BTW (although detuned to 232hp). Same results except I had to replace cam and crank sensors and recently had my first coolant leak. 3-5000 OCI history on Dino until this last change went 0W syn as I felt sorry for them sitting outside in the cold Indiana winters. Two very well built Canadian cars--good to buy used if you can find them.

The workhorse 3.3L Mopar In our Dodge minivan OTOH is about shot at 166,000. It leaks like a sieve even though I've spent about $1000 replacing gaskets. Mileage is poor at 15 city 20 hwy. It has always been a bit underpowered for this application (struggles in the mountains eg). This vehicle needs to be replaced but the wife still loves it so, why not keep it going as best I can?

Check my sig.
I have one past 200K now, as well as two that are very close to 150K.
The older Accord still runs really well.
It is not quite 5K into this run of PP 5W-30 and has used a little over half a quart, so it will be about that low when I drain it at 5K.
This car has seen mostly PP over the last 130K of use.
Of the two approaching 150K, the '99 Accord, which we bought new, will be there in about a month. It mostly got M1 in its younger days, as well as some Syntec, with 5-6K OCIs. It runs and drives as new.
I'll run the Edge in it now to 6K.
We bought the old Subie on the last day of 2010.
My younger son has driven it about 14K since.
I just changed out it's third run of PP, which I used for a few changes because I thought that the engine could use a little cleaning and I wanted to use a stash of PP that had been replenished mutiple times over the years through MIRs and closeouts.
I took a sample of the PP I drained and will UOA it.
The GTX HM in it now will go around 4K before I dump it.
I used this oil because I bought a gallon jug for $1.49, which I could hardly pass up.
I will say that Subaru does seem to make some tough cars, which seem to shrug off neglect pretty well.
My take on this whole thread is that any decent oil changed at any reasonable interval will provide for long engine life.

My parents have a 1997 Toyota Avalon with the 1MZ-FE sludger. My grandparents bought this car new, and my dad got it from my grandpa at about 96,000 miles. It is still running today with close to 300k miles with no major servicing!! The car normally sees lots of highway driving.
