I don't know why oil companies tell us their product has a five year shelf life, then make it as hard as possible to find out when it was made. Whats the big secret with the date codes?

I used to have the interpretation down, but either it changed or I lost my memory. The question I have is: Which product is this? I will ask Amsoil HQ.
