It can't hurt to try. 15w-40 did slow down leaking in the F-150 in the summer over an ILSAC 5w-30, at least until I got the rebuild and fresh gaskets. My loss was probably close to a quart every thousand miles, and it cut it at least in half. MaxL

It runs a good deal cooler in the high performance marine engines we deal with. UOA's have shown it to be better off than most oils, even when used twice as long as them.

Yes, I shake everything but 5 gallon buckets and above. Those are hard to shake.

I think its possibly that it's the first time that you're using full synthetic in your van and its cleaning up leftover deposits and varnish.

Put the bottles in your car the day before you change oil. Driving the car will shake the oil for you

It would use a 1372 filter (FL820S is the OEM filter). No need to buy one, you can just look at the base plate and tell. I am running by walmart tomorrow, I will see if they have any of the Supertech for it and see what it looks like, seems the Sup

It depends on the OSP's viscosity. The lower viscosities have better solvency then the higher viscosities.

Figure a way to secure the ladder well to help the shake. Get the legs on a hard surface or feet for the legs. If you ever watch a good fire dept scale and secure ladders you will see what I am talking about.
