I got a roll of 309 stainless some time back. I had a few things to weld with it. I have never mig welded with 309 wire before. It really welds smooth, not much splatter at all. I was using c-25.
I had a couple of lead apron hangers, thats a pain to weld together. And an x-ray table lead hanger arm made of stainless. I did grind it smooth for appearances rather than leave an unsightly bead. I was probably a bit short with one bead line, but i wanted to stay out of the ratchet teeth. I did not want splatter or to deform the teeth on the under side.
Not as good as TIG1 but it will do.
