I have the AC Delcos and they have served me well. I used them instead of a tq wrench for a while.

I just bought a cheap tq wrench and stopped using them. I never thought about using them for high tq applications, cool.

EDIT: I have that exact 1/2" drive one and it is great. I got a 3/8 as well and I don't think I have ever used it.

Check out the one from harbor freight. The case it comes in looks the same. I believe they all use strain gauges to calculate the torque so any brand should be accurate.

I had the HF one, at least until it went wonky and it went bye-bye (I was having a bad day) (probably just a bad battery, it had gone a couple years on the original batteries). Loved it when it worked, made torquing wheel lugs a breeze--just turn it on and it'd show the torque applied. I could rip through and do 30-60-90 without adjusting anything.

No idea how "good" the HF one is.

I had the HF one it worked one time and killed the batteries.. replaced them.. and they lasted 1 use.. week later dead again.
