Silicon from the sealant, this time it turned out somehow strongly with excess (((+ contamination during discharge.

Viscosity looks good, though I thought it would end a little thicker ([email protected])

Flashpoint: is that the "172" number at the bottom? If so, that seems low, though I don't think that matters much in a diff.

Re: additives: who knows what Amsoil uses that we're not seeing here? I haven't looked at a GL UOA in a bit, but the additives look a little light to me. Boron and especially Phosphorous stand out to me as being low. Must be a GL-4/5 lube?

Is GL-5 prohibited in most transfer cases?

The later Nissan transfer cases do spec a 75W90 GL-5 fluid, and because of the small volume, they do need to be changed frequently.

My 2012 Frontier's TC case specifies a 7.5 cSt ATF (NissanMatic D).

172 - viscosity index. Flash point not indicated. Yes, I was also surprised that the additive package is so easy. But despite this, Amsoil (in terms of wear) worked twice as good as the previous oil (ZIC GFT 75W-90, base from PAO and esters ≈5-10%, KV40≈77cSt,kv100≈14.5cSt). Oil mileage ZIC GFT 75W-90 ≈14500km. You're basing that on Fe numbers, right? I wouldn't necessarily call the UOA Fe number decreasing by half as "twice as good as the previous oil." I don't think it works that way.

This analysis(Amsoil UOA) also determined the mass fraction of mechanical
impurities (ГОСТ 6370). Result: no.

Honestly, I don’t know what other parameter (besides the amount of iron (and other metals indicating wear) in the used oil) can be used in the analysis to determine wear?

(I read your forum through a translator, so the meaning and meaning of the written is often distorted.)
If it’s not difficult, tell me briefly what other parameter (from the available in UOA) you need to pay attention to?
