Mr friend had her cellphone in her back pocket when she got into my car yesterday scratching the surface of the leather on the passenger front seat,on the very back part of the seat cushion right next to the back rest. Is this something that can be repaired, patched, etc? If so,is this something I can do myself,or should I leave it to an automotive interior specialist? Who would perform this kind've repair? I just don't want it to spread and or turn into a larger crack in the future.

Look up your local Color Glo rep. Buddy of mine does leather restoration for them and it works perfect. I had him do my seats and 2 years later they look perfect.

I doubt it'll get worse. My 05 Liberty has had a scuff like that for as long as I can remember (probably over 10 years) and it hasn't gotten worse or cracked or anything.

I mean, fix it if it bothers you, but it's pretty cosmetic.

If it were mine, I'd leave it alone. I have plenty of those in my cars based on their ages and they don't spread. Just keep them maintained with a leather conditioner.

IF you can't do that, go to a Lexus dealership and ask who does their leather repair and contact them. Those guys usually work different dealerships different days of the week and you could meet them at one of the dealerships. The reason I say a "Lexus" dealership is I tend to think they have excellent vendors working for them.

That stinks. This is why I don't like people riding in my car. You could use a leather filler and color to match. Likely it won't get much worse so if it doesn't bother you, you could just leave it alone. Personally I would probably end up replacing the whole bottom leather cover. They are about $200 online for the OEM part.
