Sounds like a simple "splice-into-the-cooler-line-and-find-a-place-to-mount-the-filter" ordeal.

I run a Baldwin BT839-10 hydraulic filter (think "log slitter filter".; 10 microns) on my 4R75E in my 2008 F150.

It's super easy to make happen.

I guess your asking about the internal sump filter? Probably for a aftermarket "deep" pan.....As even the shallow pan A1000 filters snout/neck is pretty long.

OE 4L80E SPX Microfelt filter has always served me well, But so have factory depth pans.

I can't find any info on the net as to what they are doing but I bet you are right CLine. I also used the stock depth pan due to ground clearance concerns. I have put my trust in the GM filter.

Btw I hope you didn't get any damage from the storms yesterday.

Just heavy rain which we desperately needed, Dallas County got all the damaging winds/tornados.
