Torque converter drain bolt - No sealing washer? - 05/23/19 06:40 PM

98 Expedition 5.4 4x4 4r100 tranny.
I just removed my torque converter drain bolt and was a little surprised to see no washer or thread sealant.
Is this the way it is supposed to be, just the bolt only?
Also anyone have torque for torque converter drain bolt, transmission pan bolts and transmission pan drain bolt?

Had 2 drains on a 1962 Buick transmission torque converter. They were 1/8" NPT plugs, so no sealer was used.

On the MB 722.9 transmissions the torque converter drain plug uses a copper washer and thread locker.

No washer listed. The p/n is 87650-S with a description of "plug - dry seal tapered thread - 1/8-27"

It's just 1/8 pipe. Just screw it back in with no sealant - you don't want any foreign sealant goo inside the converter/trans
