2000 Nissan datsun petrol engine

Hi guys

I am about to purchase a Nissan datsun 2000 year with ka24 engine petrol 2.4L

But the car has some noise can you please give your expert advice first time purchasing a Nissan datsun pick up

I have that engine, and it hasn't had any trouble. If I were you, I'd find out what the noise is before buying anything though.

Yes, take it to a disinterested shop and have them perform a PPI, a pre purchase inspection

I used to work at a Nissan dealer here in the US, the KA24 engine was very tough.
Only thing I ever heard of that would make a noise in those motors was a worn out timing chain and/or guides. That was typically on very high mileage engines.

What kind of noise is it? Ticking, knocking, (timing chain would normally make kind of a metallic slapping).
