Im so frustrated. I purchased Spicer brand 'Ultra-premium synthetic grease' grease online from Summit racing. I wanted to use it on u-joints and CV joints. I figured this would be good stuff. Its a synthetic oil in a calcium sulfonate base. It says 'compatible with NLGI grade 2' and 'designed for u-joints, slip yokes and slip joints.' Everything sounds good. Then it says 'Not for use in constant velocity joints'. Arghh!
1) Can anyone explain why its not for CV joints?
2) Does this apply to all calcium sulfonate greases?
3) What greases should I stay away from?
