I have Redline MT-LV in my 2018 4Runner now. Have had it in there for about a month. Previously ran Ravenol MTF-3 75w for about 40k miles without issue.
I have noticed the Redline engages a little quicker than the Ravenol did.
Is it legitimate? I don't know but they both work well.
Wow more fluids absurdity from Toyota. My '15 Tacoma called for their 75w85 spec oil in the diffs and xfer case, but I just went with Delvac 75w90 in all three.
My 2012 Tacoma 2.7L 4x4 Owners Manual calls for 75W90 GL-4/5 for the transfer case. I changed original myself @ 80,000 miles or 7 years of ownership. Used Redline MT-90 75W90 GL-4 Gear OIl. Original gear oil looked good at time of change, and no issues since using the Redline.
