I am learning and just getting to understand the VI number in regards to temperature. What I want to do is to get close to the VI of Mazda's OEM 75w-90 MT fluid, but as of yet I have not found the 40 c or 100 c viscosity or the VI number for it. Named "Mazda Original Long Life Gear Oil IS"

Would like to get a close match to 75w-90 GL-4 rated fluid.

Take a look at these charts, specifically for SAE gear oil:

The following are SAE 75W90 MTF gear oils:

1. Amsoil MTGÂ
2. Redline MT-90Â
3. Castrol Syntrans Multivehicle 75W-90
4. Castrol Syntrans Transaxle 75w-90
5. Ford XT-75W90-QGT (Carries a GL-5 rating as well)
6. Ford MOTORCRAFT® Full Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid XT-M5-QSÂ
7. ACDelco 10-4059 GL-4 75W-90 Manual Transmission Fluid
8. RAVENOL TSG SAE 75W-9
9. LiquiMoly 75W-90 GL4
10. Pennzoil 75W90 GL-4
11. Motul Gear 300 GL-4/GL-5 (Product Number 100118)

Most likely your fluid is number 6.

Thank You... That is a favorite for Mazda owners. Right now I have MT-90 but will consider Motorcraft if I have issues later. (Motorcraft VI is 211 MT-90 is 197)
