Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5w40 - SN

This is what I will probably run in my 2016 Audi S3 (EA888 Gen 3 TFSI Engine) unless something else comes up that may be better that is VW approved list.

Have you considered the 0w40?

Nice ride -- my dad bought a 2016 S3 late last year (Premium Plus in Sepang Blue, every option except Black Optic). It's a real hoot!

I was going with 5w40, but other than low temp viscosity what advantages would the 0w40 have? I was going to go with 5w40 as it was "better approvals" vs the 0w40 but have not looked in depth yet.

Mine is sepang blue also and loving the color...the car is a fun little one to drive around.

Walmart.com carries it, although I don't think any of the stores have it.

Price has varied from $6 to $10 per quart.

Where can you buy it? I have yet to see it anywhere.

Are you talking about 0w-40 SRT? I'm asking about 0w-40 Euro.

Not much, unless you're hitting temperatures where you're exceeding the limits of 5w-XX cold cranking.

Get this, with respect to the 0w-40. PU and PUP have been just about impossible to get up here, in any viscosity, for forever and a day. Yet, I can get the 5w-40 and 0w-40 Euro from at least two locations, provided I'm willing to buy an EcoBox.

Yes, the 0w40 Euro.

Thank you! I plan to run this in my fiance's mini cooper and my X5 once I use up the LiquiMoly I have.
